Fauchon Announces First Luxury Hotel in Paris

Best known for their expertly crafted desserts and pastries, Parisian patisserie Fauchon are taking a significant diversion into the world of luxury hotels.

The famed confectioner has previously embarked on partnerships with renowned luxury names including Lacoste, Thierry Mugler and Givenchy.

Now they have revealed plans to launch a chain of 20 boutique hotels, the first of which will open its doors at the start of September at the Place de la Madeleine in Paris.

The ultra-luxurious 54-room hotel will be called Fauchon L’Hôtel Paris and – perhaps unsurprisingly – will place a strong focus on food. An in-room Gourmet Bar will offer a high-end twist on traditional hotel mini-bars by featuring a selection of complimentary Fauchon products.

Olivier Chauvin, President and CEO of Fauchon Hospitality, said: “The strategy is to establish a portfolio of Fauchon L’Hôtel branded properties, with a goal of 20 hotels over the next decade.

"With Faucon’s legacy in all aspects of the culinary industry, it is a natural next step to open our own hotels. It has been essential for us to define a concept that truly sets us apart, so we are not just another hotel brand.”

Fauchon plans to expand their hospitality into other locations across Asia, Europe, the Middle East, and the Americas.
