Adding a little extra heat to London this summer is the Samundari Khazana (Seafood Treasure), the world’s most expensive curry.

The opulent Bombay Brasserie curry house in London?s central today put the elaborate dish on the menu, with head chef Prahlad Hegde describing the dish to The Sun as a ?real experience?.

Adding spice to this seafood dish is saffron-flavoured rice (the world?s most expensive spice), Devon crab, sea snails costing £300 a kilogram, white truffle, £80 lobster, cherry tomatoes covered in gold leaves and quail eggs filled with caviar.

According to Prahlad, the recipe is based on a basic Indian one from his mother, but uses the world?s finest ingredients.

The curry has been created to celebrate the DVD launch of Oscar-winning movie Slumdog Millionaire.
