Ferrari Land Theme Park Opens its Doors in Spain

After being under construction for a number of years now, the much-vaunted Ferrari Land theme park has opened its doors to the public in Spain.

Part of PortAventura World on the Costa Daurada in Spain's Catalonia region, the park is laden with attractions and rides inspired by the iconic Italian Ferrari car brand and spirit.

Among the rides in the park are the Red Force roller coaster that accelerates from 0 to 180 km/h in 5 seconds and, standing 112 metres high, is Europe’s highest vertical drop roller coaster; the Thrill Towers, free fall drop ride; Bounce Back tower; and the 570-metre Maranello Race Track.

Meanwhile, the Ferrari Land Gallery takes you on a journey through the history of Ferrari. Located in the Ferrari Experience building, the gallery lets you embark on an interactive tour and discover the fascinating story behind the legendary Italian Scuderia

Elsewhere in the park, the Racing Legends experience offers a journey through time with Scuderia Ferrari, with guests able to live the F1 experience from within the Ferrari Experience building.

The Flying Dreams experience takes you around the world with Ferrari, in the luxurious confines of a Ferrari GT, and the Pole Position Challenge puts you in the high-pressure driver’s seat of a real professional racer as you drive an authentic F1™simulator.

Lastly, for those who love the mechanics behind cars, the Pit Stop Record lets you show off your mechanical skills.

The PortAventura resort complex in which Ferrari Land will be situated already includes an amusement park, a water park and several golf courses,

In 2010, the world’s first Ferrari theme park opened in Abu Dhabi and features around 20 attractions, including a go-kart track.
