Ferrari to Open Luxury Hotel in Barcelona
Iconic Italian car makers Ferrari are powering full throttle into the world of hospitality by building a luxury hotel that will form part of the new Ferrari Land development outside the Spanish city of Barcelona.
Situated within the PortAventura resort, renderings of the 250-room hotel indicate that it will be daubed in classic Ferrari red and be made to resemble the grille of a distinctive Ferrari car.
The property will be home to a host of amenities including a large outdoor pool, several fine dining restaurants, high-end shops and a driving simulator.
Guests will also be able to make use of the abundance of attractions at the family-friendly Ferrari Lane theme park including what is billed as Europe’s "highest and fastest" vertical roller coaster.
Set to open in 2016. Ferrari Land will be Ferrari second theme park after the opening of Ferrari World in Abu Dhabi in 2010.
Ferrari was founded by Enzo Ferrari in 1929.
