Iconic Italian marquee Ferrari have unveiled the latest model to join their line-up – the 2020 Ferrari F8 Spider.

The droptop counterpart to the F8 Tributo Coupe, which was launched at 2019 Geneva Motor Show six months ago, the F8 Spider is powered by the same 710 hp twin-turbo V8 engine as the Ferrari 488 Pista and is underpinned by an updated version of the 488 GTB’s more comfortable chassis

As a result, the new F8 Spider is about 40 pounds lighter than the 488 Spider and packs 50 more horses under the hood.

According to Ferrari, the new convertible supercar does the zero to 62mph sprint in 2.9 seconds and has a top speed of 211mph.

The new Ferrari F8 Spider also features a retractable hardtop, which deploys in 14 seconds and can be operated while the vehicle is traveling up to 28 mph.

Design wise, everything else is almost identical to the F8 Tributo Coupe, including the sleek LED headlights built around the prominent S-duct, large air intakes on its rear haunches and the eye-catching quad taillight cluster inspired by classic Ferraris.

The 2020 Ferrari F8 Spider has a starting price of €262,000 euros. Production will start in the first half of 2020, with deliveries scheduled to begin in the summer of the same year.
