Flying Fish Hovercraft Showcased at London Boat Show

By Paul Joseph

Amongst the array of impressive yachts on show at the recent London Boat Show was a sleek new hovercraft created by UK-based company Flying Fish.

Specifically designed as a superyacht tender, the platinum black hovercraft was displayed as part of the show’s Luxury Brands segment, which featured a range of companies from across the luxury sector, including watches, jewellery, home products, finance, leisure and health.

Built to accommodate two people, the craft boasts an ultra lightweight construction thanks to its use of carbon fibre and Kevlar, as well as a teak effect deck, with blue spot lighting and chrome deck fittings adding to its stylish aesthetics.

It can lift off from a standing or floating start on water or land, and can reach a top speed of 50mph thanks to its 50 bhp 4 stroke ‘Rampage’ engine. The hovercraft can also operate on a range of other surfaces including mudbanks, ice, and sand.

The price of the hovercraft is £17,200.

Flying Fish Hovercraft is one of Europe’s leading hovercraft manufacturers, building commercial craft for safety and rescue and well as pure fun sports craft.
