Fortis Marks 100th Birthday With Special Edition Marinemaster Timepiece

In the year of its 100th anniversary, Swiss watch-maker Fortis has created a special re-edition of its popular Marinemaster brand of timepieces which first launched in the 1940s.

A 40mm automatic chronograph, the new Marinemaster is inspired by the model that was produced during the 1970s.

Limited to just 500 pieces, the watch comes in polished stainless steel on a leather strap, and is available with either orange or blue dial highlights.

Other notable features include domed PMMA crystal with special coating, diver bezel black (120 divisions), and water resistance up to 50 metres.

Fortis was founded in by Walter Vogt in Grenchen, Switzerland in 1912.
