Four Seasons Belize Resort to Feature its own Airstrip

Four Seasons has unveiled plans to open a brand new private island resort in Caye Chapel, Belize, within the next three years, featuring its own airstrip.

The project is being undertaken in partnership with Thor Urbana, Inmobilia Desarrollos and GFA Grupo Inmobiliario, three leading Mexican real estate development groups, and  is being billed as the region’s most luxurious resort.

Four Seasons aims to transform the private island of Caye Chapel into a luxury paradise for residence owners as well as high-end leisure travellers. It will be home to around 50 Private Estate lots, 35 Private Residences, and 100 guest rooms and suites, each designed by Studio Caban.

Other notable amenities will also include an 18-hole golf course designed by Greg Norman, a Fabien Cousteau nature and conservation institute, a marina and a private airstrip for its guests.

J. Allen Smith, president and CEO of Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts, said: “We are excited to be a part of the re-imagination of Caye Chapel into an exclusive luxury experience, and to do so in a way that protects and reinforces the natural wonders of the island.”

Earlier in 2018, Hilton and Marriott also announced plans to open their own respective resorts in Belize and Caye.
