Historical Swiss luxury watch brand Girard-Perregaux have designed a new limited edition watch featuring 18-karat gold and priced at a cool $287,000.

Limited to just 15 pieces, the 1966 Minute Repeater, Annual Calendar & Equation of Time timepiece comes in a 42mm gold case and features a grand total of 48 jewels throughout its impressive array of elements.

The watch’s silvered sunburst dial serves as the background of the time, calendar and EOT indications, whilst around the dial are solid gold applique hour-markers and black painted minute markers.

The watch’s brilliant construction only requires a single adjustment of the date every year, in February, which can be carried out through the watch’s crown.

Other notable features include an AR-coated sapphire crystal, a sapphire display back, a brown alligator strap with an 18-karat rose gold ardillon buckle, water resistance up to 30 metres and a power reserve of 100 hours.

Founded in Switzerland in 1791, Girard-Perregaux has grown to become one of the world’s most famous watch brands.
