Givenchy Launch Shark-Inspired Handbag
Luxury French fashion brand Givenchy has created a lavish new handbag inspired by the ocean’s most fearsome creatures.
Available in a choice of three sizes, the ‘Shark’ bag features a black leather body and an oversized graphic flap adds depth, along with a shark-tooth-inspired metal clasp.
A removable shoulder strap allows the bag to be worn over the shoulder, tucked under the elbow or carried in the hand.
Set to arrive in stores this June, the new Shark handbag comes in a variety of colours and finishes including cream and black monochrome, brown studded leather and a dusky beige hue.
It is not the first time Givenchy has decorated its pieces with a shark motif. The animal first made an appearance in its collections in Spring/Summer 2012 and has since appeared in everything from boots to jewellery.
Owned by LVMH, the house of Givenchy was founded in 1952 by designer Hubert de Givenchy.
