Guests at Four Seasons Maldives to Have Access to DeepFlight Submersible

By Paul Joseph

Guests staying at the Four Seasons Maldives can now experience a unique underwater adventure aboard a state-of-the-art submersible.

California-based submersible designers DeepFlight have made one of their Super Falcon 3S models available to guests at the lavish resort on the island of Landaa Giraavaru.

The ride will take up to two guests on a once-in-a-lifetime sub-aquatic “dive” exploration of the Maldives’ only UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, Landaa Giraavaru’s Baa Atoll.

A professional pilot will accompany guests throughout the journey, as they enjoy the coral formations and encounters with colourful fish, turtles, sharks, dolphins and rays.

Speaking about the offering, Four Seasons Regional Vice President Armando Kraenzlin said, “Submarine excursions redefine marine exploration and bridge the gap between the world we see above the waves and the one that exists below.

“We couldn’t be prouder to be the first resort in the world to launch the DeepFlight Super Falcon 3S.”

To enhance the experience, the Super Falcon 3S is designed with virtually disappearing domes, thus providing a 360-degree view of the aquatic life on submersion. Its inbuilt technology also enables smooth gliding with 100 per cent safety and the comfort of an air-conditioned cockpit, with individual viewing domes.

The Falcon 3S also has strong eco-friendly credentials and is known, causing minimal harm to the waters it traverses and the sea life that lives within it.
