Hôtel Plaza Athénée Unveils Revamped Royal Suite

By Paul Joseph

Hôtel Plaza Athénée in Paris has removed the veil on its newly renovated Royal Suite, revealing classic Parisian décor and design.

Part of the Dorchester Collection of luxury hotels, the Plaza Athénée Royal Suite has been redesigned by Marie-José Pommereau to combine tradition with contemporary features.

Spread across 450 square metres, the suite contains four bedrooms, four bathrooms, two drawing rooms, an office and a separate kitchen. It also offers views of iconic Parisian sites including the Eiffel Tower and Avenue Montaigne as well as the hotel’s own Cour Jardin.

Some of the suites’ furniture comes from the Régence period of the early 18th century, whilst many of the paintings, antiques and wood panelling offer similar resonance to the past.

Other notable features include the bathroom tiles, which are made from Italian marble specially selected from the quarries near the city of Verona.

Prices for a night in Hôtel Plaza Athénée Royal Suite Start at €20,000.
