Prestigious London department store Harrods has opened a new dedicated shoes department.

Called “Shoe Heaven”, the section is positioned on Harrods’ fifth floor and is spread over 42,000 square feet.

The space houses a total of 17 footwear boutiques with collections from over 50 renowned luxury brands including Dior, Chanel, Louboutin, Valentino and Louis Vuitton.

According to Harrods Fashion Director Helen Davis, shoes are “becoming an ever increasingly important part of the way a woman dresses, and indeed a key part of our business.”

The luxe marble-floored space was designed by the late David Collins, the highly regarded interior designer who passed away last year.

In addition to shoes, the space also contains velvet banquet seating and private shopping suites.

Harrods was founded by Charles Henry Harrod in 1834.
