World famous London shopping store Harrods is to sell a 152-inch Panasonic television within its newly launched technology department.

Billed as the biggest plasma screen in the world, the super-sized television was first showcased at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas in 2010.

Now it is on sale in one of the world’s most prestigious retail spaces in the world, alongside a range of extravagant gadgets and high-end technology products.

Offering a 4K image quality with a screen resolution of 4096 x 2160, the television also features self-illuminating plasma panels offering excellent response to moving images with full motion picture resolution.

The screen can also be converted to 3D with viewers wearing active shutter glasses which are triggered by an infrared image.

Furthermore, the display features a revolutionary new plasma display panel (PDP) developed by Panasonic with its new quadruple luminous efficiency technology, incorporating a crosstalk reduction technology, essential for producing clear 3D images.

The Panasonic television is priced at £600,000 (just under $1 million).
