Hermès Launch New $14,900 Birkin Handbag
The Hermès Birkin is one of the most iconic pieces of the fashion world and now its world-renowned French creators have come up with a new version of the distinctive handbag.
Eschewing the with diamonds, graffiti and other trimmings associated with other Birkins, the Hermès Sellier Birkin still retains an eye-bulging price of $14,000.
Billed by Hermès design director Couli Jobert as “an essential design without clutter”, the 40cm bag comes in a single colour and finish- matte black cowhide with silver palladium hardware.
Also absent are the famous lock and key logo and interior lining, while the stitching has been concealed and the edges smoothed.
Founded in Paris in 1837, Hermes has grown to become one of the world’s most famous luxury labels.
