Hermes Launches Ship-Inspired Clipper Sport Wristwatch

By Paul Joseph

Iconic luxury goods house Hermes has released a new timepiece partly inspired by the portholes of the great 19th century sailing ships.

Crafted in Switzerland, the Clipper Sport Orange wristwatch is set in a 41mm bimetallic case housing a mechanical self-winding movement.

The watch’s case-back and bezel are in steel, and the case-band made of titanium, whilst the watch’s rubber strap and dial features large Hermes-branded Arabic numerals.

A triangular marker at 3 o’clock in the same bright orange palette as the strap and the seconds-hand marks the date, whilst other notable features include dagger-shaped hours and minutes hand, 21 jewels with a frequency of 28,800vph/4Hz water resistance up to 10 atm, 42 hours power reserve, and a 17mm safety folding clasp in steel.

The watch is also available in blue and red.
