Hermès Unveils Revamped Cape Cod Timepiece

By Paul Joseph

The Hermès’ Cape Cod Collection has gained significant attention among horology connoisseurs since it was launched a quarter of a century ago.

Now the iconic French fashion house has updated the collection with a brand new iteration to add to this hugely popular men’s range.

Notable features include an opaque black DLC-treated 29 x 29 mm case, embedded in brushed 316L steel, a matt black dial with rhodium-plated raised Arabic numerals and ruthenium-coated hands.

The watch also comes with a stunning black Barenia calfskin strap finished with red-burnished edges and a matte black DLC-treated brushed steel buckle.

Furthermore, built with a high precision quartz calibre, the watch sets the hours and minutes with the prestigious Swiss Made stamp.

Better known for its apparel and handbags, in recent times Hermes has diversified into the world of timepieces. In 2015 the brand teamed up with technology giants Apple to create a new collection of Apple smart watches.

Founded in Paris in 1837, Hermes has grown to become one of the world’s most famous luxury labels.
