High Jinks on the High Seas: FunAir to Showcase Redesigned Products at MYS 2017

The Monaco Yacht Show has always been an all-embracing celebration of the yachting lifestyle, with a wide number of yacht-themed accessories on display at the event each year.

A regular presence at the show in recent years has been American-based yacht toys manufacturer FunAir, who, for the 2017 edition, will be showcasing their latest inflatable toys – redesigned versions of the new FunAir Playground and Junior BigAir Blob.

A perennial favourite with families who own or charter superyachts, the FunAir Playground boasts a slide and climbing frame that invites thrill-seekers to enjoy high jinks on the high seas.

It also features a jumping off point that allows users to jump from the playground straight onto a smaller version of the equally popular BigAir Blob. The Blob comes with stabilising outriggers that stop it turning in the ocean, and an inflatable stand-off that keeps it in place and away from the yacht.

Speaking ahead of the prestigious Monaco show, FunAir's Chief of Yachting John Courtney elaborated on the inspiration behind the newly designed toys.

“The Playground was developed because of our partnership with charter and brokerage company Titan Fleet, who needed a durable playground that was robust and could be used by kids large and small,” the spokesperson said.

“We redesigned it to make it lighter, taller and more stable. Combining the Playground with our Junior BigAir Blob gave Titan Fleet the perfect activity centre for their fleet of charter yachts.”

The new FunAir Playground and Junior BigAir Blob will be displayed in the water outside the official MYS Captains and Crew Lounge next to the Monaco Yacht Club throughout the show from 27 - 30 September.
