Hublot Boutique Hosts Lavish Event at Art Basel Miami Beach
The Bal Harbour boutique of luxury watch brand Hublot was the stage for a lavish event last week as part of the Art Basel Miami Beach celebrations.
In conjunction with Haute Living magazine and The Ferrari Collection, the occasion saw the unveiling of a dramatic art instillation by renowned expressionist artist Domingo Zapata, who was also present.
The storefront installation was showcased along with several other pieces by the artist in front of a crowd of art aficionados and VIP guests.
“To have the opportunity to do this and celebrate Art Basel together is an honour and a responsibility, Zapata said. “To do something that’s cool, that goes with the brand - we are all very happy with the results.”
Nicole Kasak, press contact for Hublot Bal Harbour, added: “The craftsmanship of Hublot timepieces, with their unusual lines, sharp angles, and uniquely-cut diamonds, lends itself naturally to a collaboration with an artist like Zapata, who is known for his abstract expressionist multimedia style and his incorporation of collage and graffiti.”
As well as the striking artwork, Hublot’s prized Black Caviar timepiece – valued at $1 million - also grabbed the attention of onlookers, amongst whom were notable names including singer-songwriter Rico Love, artist Damien Hirst and Micky Arison, owner of the Miami Heat NBA team.
Following the excitement on offer at the Hublot boutique, guests moved on to a private event and after party at the newly-opened SLS Hotel in Miami’s South Beach, where much of the talk was about the latest Ferrari FF, provided by The Collection, sitting proudly on display.
Art Basel Miami Beach ran from 5th to 8th December.
