Swiss luxury watch brand Hublot has created a special edition of its Techframe Tourbillon Chronograph to help mark the 70th anniversary of Italian car marquee Ferrari.

In a unique fusion of watch and car innovation, the Hublot Techframe Ferrari 70 Years Tourbillon Chronograph combines cutting edge automotive design with a complex watch movement.

The HUB6311 caliber hand-wound manufacture movement contains a total of 253 components and boasts a 5-day power reserve.

The Ferrari in-house team, Centro Stile, led by Flavio Manzoni, designed the watch around this movement, following the same creative processes as used for sports car chassis, which achieves minimal weight combined with a solid frame.

The watch is also distinguishable by its skeleton case middle, which is made from uni-directional carbon, polyether, a multi-layer hypoallergenic material, while the case is made from King Gold, a gold/ceramic alloy developed in-house by Hublot.

Meanwhile the dial features both the Hublot and Ferrari logos, and is inspired by Ferrari’s instrument panels.

Hublot was founded in 1980 by Maksim Kuts. Over the years the brand has regularly produced Ferrari-themed timepieces
