Hublot Launches King Power Usain Bolt Timepiece
Swiss luxury watch brand Hublot has created a new timepiece dedicated to Jamaican athlete Usain Bolt, the world’s fastest man.
Developed in close consultation with the iconic sprinter, who serves as a Hublot ambassador, the King Power Usain Bolt timepiece features a silhouette of the iconic sprinter’s face. The dial is overlaid with an image of the sprinter in his signature "lightning bolt" pose.
The 48 mm watch also includes a mechanical chronograph movement with automatic winding and a central seconds hand. The 12-hour chronograph is decorated with a touch of green in a nod to the colours on Bolt’s birthplace of Jamaica.
It comes in micro-blasted ceramic, and is predominantly black with gold, whilst the flange features a 2N gold powder coating.
Other notable features include the watch’s strap, which is made from the same gold-coloured synthetic leather as the shoes he wore for his world record-setting 100m and 200m runs at the Olympics Games in Beijing in 2008.
Hublot was founded by Carlo Crocco in 1980.
