Introducing the Hermès Arceau L’Heure De La Lune Timepiece

Called the Hermès Arceau L’Heure De La Lune, the watch features a pair of stationary moons made of mother-of-pearl on the dial.

Uniquely, a complementary pair of floating lacquer dials sit on the top and complete a full rotation around a central axis of the dial once every 59 days.

The rotating dials in turn cover and uncover the two moons of the dial, indicating the current moon phase in both the southern and northern hemispheres at once. One of the floating dials indicates the hour and minutes, while the other one displays the date.

The watch comes with two different dial designs, one with a meteorite dial and graduated grey lacquered discs and the other with an aventurine dial and white lacquered discs.

The two moons also have two different designs, the lower moon featuring the lunar surface, while the upper moon sporting a pegasus motif by artist and designer Dimitri Rybaltchenko.

A 43mm white gold Arceau case encases an Hermès caliber H1837 movement, which is fitted with a special module called the “L’Heure De La Lune” made of over 100 components.

The watch comes with a choice of Matte abyss blue or graphite alligator strap with white gold folding clasp.

Only 100 individually numbered pieces of each version are available, each with a price of $25,500.
