Jacob & Co’s Twin Turbo Furious: Yours for Half-a-Million Dollars

By Paul Joseph

American jewellery house Jacob & Co have developed quite a reputation in the thirty-plus years since its foundation for creating ultra-lavish timepieces.

Now the brand has pushed the boundaries of luxury even further with the creation of the limited edition Twin Turbo Furious watch, billed as the world’s first combined Twin Triple Axis Tourbillon, Minute repeater and  Monopusher Chronograph in one watch.

A follow-up timepiece to its 2016 Twin Turbo, the latest timepiece is available in two versions of 18-karat rose gold or black DLC grade 5 titanium and carbon fibre.

Indeed, perhaps the only more eye-catching feature of the piece is its price point: limited to just 18 examples, it is available for a cool half a million US dollars.

The watch measures a huge 57mm x 52mm, and the complex case is made of 88 parts with sapphire crystal dials and a red neoralithe inner ring near the “Jacob & Co.” logo.

Its two triple-axis tourbillon regulators compensate gravity’s pull on the regulating organ that’s integrated with a mono-pusher chronograph, and offers a 50-hour power reserve that is displayed at 6 o’clock between its twin high-speed tourbillons.

The Jacob & Co. Twin Turbo Furious is also fitted with a leather strap secured on a folding buckle.

Established in 1986, Jacob & Co. has grown to become one of the world’s most renowned jewellers and watchmakers for men and women.
