Jaguar Prepares for London Takeover to Launch New XE

By Paul Joseph

Jaguar will hold two special events in London on Monday to mark the unveiling of the new Jaguar XE, billed as redefining the concept of the mid-size sports saloon.

The new XE features lightweight construction expertise and sophisticated chassis technology in addition to the new family of Ingenium engines – all designed, engineered and manufactured in the UK.

The first event will take place at London’s Earls Court and will feature a narration by actor John Hannah and special musical performances from artists including Emeli Sandé, The Kaiser Chiefs and Eliza Doolittle.

The second event is a live 45 minute performance by Emeli Sandé at a secret location for 200 VIP guests, where the performer will debut her Jaguar FEEL XE song – a newly written track inspired by the public via social media.

The new Jaguar XE will be revealed as part of the event and onlookers will be treated to an audio-visual spectacle during the FEEL XE track performance.

Built around an all-new, aluminium-intensive architecture, Jaguar says the XE combines thrilling performance, agile handling and precise, responsive steering, with outstanding levels of refinement and fuel efficiency.

Jaguar was founded by Sir William Lyons and William Walmsley in 1922.
