A stunning new 100-berth luxury marina offering boat owners an array of high-end amenities has opened in the Arab state of Oman.

To mark the soft opening last weekend, tourism developer Muriya hosted more than 300 guests who were able to enjoy the resort’s luxurious facilities and magnificent waterfront setting.

Located in the scenic harbour town of Jebel Sifah, 45km from the Oman capital of Muscat, the marina can accommodate 94 boats from 6 to 60 metres in length, as well as a further 120 boats in a dry storage facility.

As well as the new marina, the town of Jebel Sifah also boasts real estate units, retail outlets, and a boutique hotel with private beach and a seafood restaurant.

Boat owners at the marina will be entitled to membership of the exclusive Jebel Sifah Boat Owners Club which includes use of a swimming pool, private beach, showers and changing rooms, berth holders lounge and various discounted benefits at local hotels and restaurants.

Chandra Lahiri, Ceo of Muriya, said: “We are truly delighted by the excellent turnout for the unveiling of our marina that will add a whole new dimension of reacreation and leisure to our resort.

“Given Jebel Sifah’s proximity to the capital city and its tourist attractions, we anticipate a strong uptake of the marina’s facilities, not only from the local market, from international yachters and boaters as well.”

Jebel Sifah Marina was developed by Muriya alongside Orascom Marina Management.
