Jewellery Fair to Debut on Superyacht SeaFair at Art Basel

By Paul Joseph

The inaugural edition of the International Contemporary Jewelry Fair (ICJF)will take place aboard the purpose built superyacht SeaFair in December.

Part of the prestigious Art Basel fair in Miami Beach, the 6-day jewelry show will give designers and artists from around the world the chance to showcase their latest creations in front of a vast crowd of enthusiasts, private clientele, gallery owners and invited retailers.

Whilst the jewellery will be the main focus, plenty of attention is expected for SeaFair, a 64-metre exhibition yacht that will be hosting the eagerly awaited event.

Designed by internationally acclaimed yacht designer Luiz de Basto, the $40 million yacht boasts three decks of international galleries, two outdoor bars, an international coffee bar, as well as a formal glass-walled collectors’ lounge and an open-air bistro on the Sky Deck.

Cocktails, champagne and caviar will be served on the vessel’s striking sky deck overlooking downtown Miami and Biscayne Bay, whilst the ship’s glass walled VIP lounge and Luxe Lounge will offer additional facilities for collectors aboard the ship.

David Lester, IFAE Principal, said: “We have extensive experience delivering the ‘right’ clientele to our exhibitors in affluent communities with fairs that are recognized for their comfortable, exclusive environments.

“This new fair offers a strategic extension to our portfolio of fine events and allows an entirely new group of creative individuals and firms the opportunity to grow and extend their business.”

As well as its jewellery exhibition, SeaFair will also play host to a number of educational events and exclusive VIP parties during the event.

ICJF will take place at Chopin Plaza in Noguchi Bayfront Park, downtown Miami, from December 4th – 9th.
