Kempinski To Open on The Pearl, Qatar

Luxury hotel group Kempinski are to open a new waterfront property on the man-made island The Pearl in Qatar later this year.

The second project to be undertaken by Qatar-based Alfardan Hospitality in collaboration with Kempinski, the new hotel – called Marsa Malaz Kempinski – will be spread over 500,000 square feet and will blend “Arabian hospitality with a Venetian concept”.

Surrounded by water, the hotel will boast a beachfront setting, extravagant interiors and exteriors, and a range of ultra-luxurious personalised services.

The opening will be in line with the recently announced strategy of Qatar Tourism Authority to position Qatar as “a world-class hub with deep cultural roots”.

Alfardan Hospitality had previously worked alongside Kempinski to developm and manage Doha’s tallest hotel tower, the Kempinski Residences and Suites.

Founded in Berlin, Germany in 1897, Kempinski is Europe’s oldest luxury hotel group.
