Konstantin Chaykin to Debut Mystery Timepiece at BaselWorld

By Paul Joseph

Russian watchmaker Konstantin Chaykin is to showcase its new Mystery Collection of timepieces at the BaselWorld watch fair in March.

Renowned for his innovative and unusual creations, the Saint Petersberg-based designer has come up with a new mechanical watch featuring a completely transparent dial and a pair of hands in the centre mysteriously suspended in the empty space of the gold case.

The watch’s miniature movement is fully hidden under the bezel of the case decorated with applied Roman numerals and a sophisticated aperture of the moon phase indicator.

Two versions of the Mystery watch will be available - red gold and white gold – and the piece will be presented on a hand-stitched black alligator strap.

BaselWorld will take place in Basel, Switzerland between March 8-15.
