Adding more design features, exclusive equipment and unique technology to the already super-charged Lamborghini Gallardo, the LP 550-2 Valentino Balboni is truly dynamic.

The 550-2 showcases its own distinctive design and technology, with the name revealing its 550 horsepower output and 2 for the real wheel drive.

The vehicle is strictly limited to 250 units, making it both extremely exclusive and guaranteeing its place amongst the world’s most high-performing and sought-after cars.

The Lamborghini Gallardo LP 550-2 Valentino Balboni will be the first car from the luxury automobile company to deliver its power to the road via its rear wheels alone, appealing to those sports drivers who enjoy this particular light-footed driving style.

Unique modifications were made to the LP 550-2 to set it apart from other Gallardo models, including adjusting everything from springs, dampers, stabilizers, tyres, and aerodynamics to take account of the change in power flow. Changes to the ESP system also allow the vehicle to drift at greater angles.

With individual design characteristics, the body of the LP 550-2 is also aesthetically different from its Gallardo brothers. Inspired by classic cars from the 1970s, it sports unique front and rear bumpers while its sporting character is highlighted by a white gold strip that runs from the front panel over the roof to the rear spoiler.

The dark grey finish of the Scorpius wheels is kept although the brake callipers are available in black, orange or yellow, depending on the exterior paint finish. This special edition is available in eight colours, including Bianco Monocerus, Verde Ithaca, Arancio Borealis and Nero Noctis.

The basic interior colour is black full leather upholstery, although the seats sport the same white gold strip as the exterior. Polar white leather covers the centre console, while a badge bearing the signature of Valentino Balboni and car production number sits below the left side window.

A transparent engine cover, rear view camera, Bluetooth navigation system and front-axle lifting system are also all-new features for a Gallardo model.

The car’s dry weight of just 1,380 kilograms means it can surge from this guarantees 0 to 100 kilometres per hour in 3.9 seconds, and reach a top speed of 320 kilometres per hour.

The supercar will range in price from £137,900 in the UK, €162,000 in Europe, and $219,800 in the US.
