By Paul Joseph

Lamborghini have announced that they have sold an impressive 700 of their new Huracán models in the sports car’s first month on the market.

Featuring similar stylings to Lamborghini’s incumbent flagship model the Aventador, including angular headlamps and sharp lines, the Huracán LP 610-4 comes with an augmented 5.2-litre V10 engine that now delivers an improved 610hp. The engine is paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission.

Thanks to its use of carbon fibre and aluminium, the new model weighs just 1,422kg – a power-to-weight ratio of just 2.33kg per horse power.

According to Lamborghini, the Huracán can go from 0-100km/h in 3.2 seconds and 0-200km/h in 9.9 seconds

The Lamborghini Huracán will make its global debut at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show in Switzerland next month.

Founded by Ferruccio Lamborghini in 1963, Lamborghini has grown to become one of the world’s most iconic makers of luxury sports cars.
