Lavish New Bulgari Hotel Opens its Doors in Beijing

By Paul Joseph

Italian fashion label Bulgari’s foray into the world of luxury hotels has been a resounding success, and now the brand has ventured into the highly lucrative Chinese market with a lavish new opening in Beijing.

Designed by architecture firm Antonio Citterio Patricia Viel, the hotel is modern and jewel like on the outside while it’s 119 rooms and suites are warm but contemporary and stylish.

The building is located in the Genesis complex alongside the Tadao Ando-designed Genesis Art Foundation.

Drinking and dining options include Il Ristorante – Niko Romito, Il Bar and the Lobby Lounge. This is the first collaboration between Bulgari and Michelin-starred Italian chef Niko Romito who brings signature Italian dishes to the hotel.

In the rooms and suites Bulgari delivers sleek Italian design and finishes, while guests can enjoy scenic views of the Liangma River, the Beijing skyline and the hotel’s pristine, landscaped gardens.

Spread across two floors, the spa features a 25-metre swimming pool, a vitality pool, relaxation lounges, eight treatment rooms and two treatment suites, and a male grooming room.

Bulgari Hotels & Resorts was formed in 2001 as part of a join venture between Marriott International and Bulgari.
