British racing driver Lewis Hamilton has turned his hand to motorbikes after designing a limited edition model for Italian superbike manufacturer MV Agusta.

Called the Dragster RR LH44, the bike is limited to just 244 units, each one signed personally by the three-time Formula 1 champion.

It mirrors a number of Hamilton’s personal signatures including the pearl white, red and black colour scheme of his helmet, as well as his iconic race number “Candy Apple Red 44” decorated on the front and back.

The bike also boasts a number of striking features including an Alcantara quilt pattern saddle, Ergal made parts and a body made with carbon fibre with a matt 3K finish.

Speaking about the bike, Lewis Hamilton said: “I have really enjoyed the creative design process with the MV Agusta team; the bike looks amazing – really aggressive and with fantastic attention to detail, I am truly proud of the result.”

MV Agusta was founded in Cascina, Tuscany in 1945.
