Limassol Set For £350 Million Marina

By P. Joseph

The most fashionable new marina in the Mediterranean is set to become a glittering new destination for living and sailing in Cyprus.

The historic city of Limassol is the setting for the £350 million waterfront development, which will include apartments and villas, a state-of-the-art marina, waterfront restaurants, bars and high-end retail, leisure and cultural facilities.

Designed by Atelier Xavier Bohl architects, the development will be just a short walk from the heart of the city.

The marina – which will accommodate all types of vessels from small sailing yachts to superyachts – will build on Limassol’s association with the sea, blending with the city’s old harbour, the town’s historic centre and the medieval castle.

Sophia Paraskeva, of Limassol Marina Ltd, said: “Limassol Marina will boost tourism and position Cyprus on the nautical yachting map.

“It is destined to become the most attractive new hotspot in the Mediterranean for living and sailing and will enhance the beauty and character of the surrounding area.”

Construction is already underway on a range of luxury apartments and penthouses which offer sea views, open spaces, underground parking and private swimming pools.

Prices for the properties start at £400,000.
