Linde Werdelin Launches £10,600 SpidoSpeed Timepiece

By Paul Joseph

High-end watchmaker Linde Werdelin has created a new version of its SpidoSpeed chronograph timepiece which launched at the BaselWorld watch fair in Switzerland earlier this year.

The SpidoSpeed Black/Orange includes a vibrant colour contrast on the dial and case while keeping the 3-dimensional case construction, dial and custom-made movement as the original model released at BaselWorld.

Other notable features include a steel DLC coated core, casket, crown and push-buttons, and case-back. The outer case part of the watch has been left in steel and is satin hand-finished to create more depth and give a smooth visual effect.

A textured calf strap has been stitched with an orange thread to be in harmony with the rest of the watch, whilst a Linde Werdelin engraving is visible through the sapphire crystal on the caseback on the rotor in orange.

Morten Linde, co-founder of Linde Werdelin, said: “ The Spido-case and even more so the SpidoSpeed model is a great watch to ‘experiment’ on in terms of materials and colours.

“Colour creates extra depth while the combination of material is made possible due to the three part case. The possibilities therefore are endless!”

The SpidoSpeed Black/Orange is available on Linde Werdelin’s official website or at any authorised retailer, priced at £10,600 (€12,480).
