Linley Unveils Walnut-Crafted Tectonic Bar at Masterpiece

By Paul Joseph

Iconic British furniture makers Linley have launched two stunning new pieces at the prestigious Masterpiece art event currently taking place in London, including a Tectonic Bar crafted in ebonised walnut.

Available in a limited edition of just three units, the Tectonic Bar also features white gold leaf and nickel accents, and is billed by Linley as embodying “innovative design whilst epitomising the intricacy and precision of fine craftsmanship at its best”.

Within the piece is a concealed button that, when pressed, unlocks the Bar cabinet, revealing a range of specialist Linley cocktail accessories.

The appearance of hidden compartments, which has become a Linley design hallmark over the years, continues with both a fridge a cigar humidor buried in the depths of the Bar.

As well as the Tectonic Bar, Linley has also used this year’s Masterpiece event to launch an equally striking London Skyline panel, which uses exquisite marquetry to depict a stunningly realistic vision of London at dusk.

The panel, which stands at standing at 2.4 metres tall and 3.5 metres wide, is also available in a limited run of three.

Both pieces are available to view at Masterpiece 2013 until Wednesday.
