World-renowned French fashion label Louis Vuitton is to launch its second Cruise Collection at an iconic location in Palm Springs, California next week.

Taking place at the grandiose former home of comedian Bob Hope and his wife Delores on Toluca Lake, the event will be attended by more than 400 guests, including key clients, A-List celebrities and global media.

In addition to the high profile show, Louis Vuitton are also planning several fashion magazine photo shoots for their new Resort collection at numerous hotels throughout Palm Springs.

"We are delighted to welcome the iconic Louis Vuitton brand to Palm Springs, said Mayor Steve Pougnet. “Thanks to millions of dollars invested over the past five years in hotel renovations, incentive programs, and increased branding and marketing efforts, Palm Springs is once again the hippest, most happening resort destination in the country.

Perched in the Southridge Mountains overlooking Palm Springs, the estate was designed for Bob and Dolores Hope by John Lautner, a renowned architect whose work in Southern California is widely celebrated. It was built to resemble a volcano, with three visor-like arches and an undulating concrete roof, a hole at its centre opening a courtyard to the sky.

The estate is currently available for purchase through Patrick-Stewart Properties, priced at $24.9 million, according to recent reports.

Founded in France in 1854, Louis Vuitton has grown to become one of the world’s most renowned luxury brands.
