Louis Vuitton Unveil GMT Voyager Timepiece
Iconic French fashion house Louis Vuitton have created a new series of GMT watches featuring a distinctive case shape.
Called the GMT Voyager, the watches feature a striking “V” in the centre – the original V motif created by Gaston-Louis Vuitton representing both ‘voyager’ and ‘Vuitton.’
The watch case is thinner with satin-finished sides that contrast with the polished top and bottom. The dial is also satin finished with the “V” motif at the centre which connects the indices at 9 and 3 o clock.
Below the ‘V’ is another time display that indicates the time with different colours for day and night.
Louis Vuitton has crafted supple Taurillon leather straps that are slightly grained for this watch – although steel bracelets are also available.
Owners can choose from grey or anthracite dials with black leather or steel straps, or alternatively opt for an 18-carat pink gold case with navy blue dial and matching alligator strap.
The new Louis Vuitton GMT Voyager will be available this June, with prices starting at $5,700 for the 41.5mm steel version.
Founded in France in 1854, Louis Vuitton has grown to become one of the world’s most renowned luxury brands.
