Prestigious Asian holiday and resort group Banyan Tree are to open a 5-star urban resort in the Chinese city of Macau next month.

Located at the city’s new $19 billion Galaxy Macau development, which also incorporates two other hotels, the new resort will boast 246 opulent suites, each with its own private indoor relaxation pool.

In addition to the suites, the resort will also include ten Pool Villas, featuring both private pools and air-conditioned cabanas with sliding doors opening directly onto their own gardens.

Each suite and villa has been inspired by Oriental design, with high ceilings and ornate furnishings.

Mr Rudy Oretti, General Manager of Banyan Tree Macau, said: “Banyan Tree Macau is designed for travellers looking to immerse themselves in the excitement of Cotai’s entertainment district, but still desire their own private sanctuary to relax in.”

Amongst the luxurious facilities available will be the world’s largest ‘sky wave’ pool – featuring an artificial 15-metre white sand beach completer with automatic crashing waves.

The resort will also include meeting facilities, a grand ballroom, two conference rooms, and an award-winning Banyan Tree Spa featuring 21 treatment rooms.
