Luxury St Regis Resort Opens on Mauritius
The St Regis luxury hotel group has opened a new resort located on the stunningly beautiful island of Mauritius in the Indian Ocean.
Situated on the southwestern tip of the island, the new resort is nestled on the picture-perfect white natural beaches at the UNESCO World Heritage site of Le Morne, bordered by a turquoise lagoon.
Designed by Stauch Vorster Architects with interiors by Trevor Julius , the resort’s aesthetic was inspired by a Victorian sugar-baron’s manor house set in a historical estate.
It boasts 172 guestrooms and suites, each with a large terrace and stunning views of the Indian Ocean. The pinnacle accommodation – the lavish beachfront St. Regis Villa – features a private entrance, four bedrooms with private pools and gardens, dining areas, an infinity pool, a bar and a private spa treatment room.
Other notable amenities include a restaurant with a menu created by Michelin-starred chef Atul Kochhar, plus six other distinct dining options including a beachside eatery for relaxed oceanfront dining.
Owner by Starwood Hotels and Resorts, St Regis currently has properties across the world, including in Asia, Africa, the Caribbean and Europe.
