Luxury Underwater Villas Being Built in Dubai
Dubai has for many years been at the forefront of architectural innovation, but their latest project could be the most creative yet.
Subject to official approval, the United Arab Emirate is planning to build a collection of partially submerged luxury villas on a cluster of six islands as part of The World Islands project.
Developed by the Kleindienst Group, each villa will span 1,700 square feet and will have two floors above water level and one beneath.
Costing around AED5 million ($1.36 million), the villas are being built on Monaco island, part of Kleindienst’s The Heart of Europe (THOE) project, a collection of manmade islands in the shape of the world, two miles off the coast of Dubai.
The villas will be sold by Privilege Dubai, a real estate consultancy, which is said to have already bought the proposed residences from the developer.
