Macallan Offers $46,000 Private Jet & Whisky Experience

By Paul Joseph

Scottish whisky makers Macallan have created an opulent voyage that combines private jet travel with premium whisky tasting.

Called the Macallan ‘Rare Journey’, the experience gives connoisseurs a chance to sample some of the finest spirits from the brand as well as travelling in the most luxurious way possible – aboard a stunning private jet.

Starting in New York, the journey commences aboard a privately chartered, 12-passenger Embraer Lineage 1000 jet, where guests are served a “Smoked Oak New-Fashioned” cocktail, along with canapés.

Later, they are introduced to The Macallan’s Master Series that includes The Macallan Rare Cask, The Macallan Reflexion, The Macallan No. 6, and the ultra-expensive Macallan M, collectively costing over $15,000.

On landing, guests are transferred to a 100-foot yacht docked at Hallandale Beach in Florida. Onboard the luxury yacht, guests are invited to sample the ‘Mac & Cheese’ – a fine group of whiskies—Double Cask 12 Years Old, Sherry Oak 12 Years Old, and Triple Cask Matured 15 Years Old, served alongside specially sourced local cheese.

The experience is hosted by Raquel Raies, The Macallan’s national brand ambassador who accompanies guests for every step of the adventure.

The Macallan ‘Rare Journey’ is priced at $46,000 (for a group of 7 guests) with further customisations possible at an extra cost.

Based in Scotland since 1824, The Macallan Estate has a global reputation as one of the world’s finest distillers of single malt whisky.
