Mandarin Oriental Munich Reopens with Rooftop Chalet

The Mandarin Oriental hotel in Munich has lifted the veil on its revamped wooden chalet-style restaurant situated on the residence’s rooftop.

An Asian brand it may be, but the world famous luxury hotel group have displayed their multicultural instincts when they created the northern European themed chalet, which boasts spectacular views over the Alps.

The unique chalet, which houses The Alm restaurant serving Bavarian cuisine, boasts a wooden interiors and waiters dressed in traditional Bavarian Dirndl and Lederhosen.

As well as the mountain vistas, in Winter the chalet also offers views of Munich’s bustling Christmas scenes as the city’s iconic Frauenkirche church.

Furthermore, The Alm’s unique setting also makes it the perfect venue for Christmas and winter parties, with seating for up to 65 people.

The Mandarin Oriental Munich opened in 1990.
