Mandarin Oriental to Open First Vietnam Hotel in Saigon

Luxury hotel group Mandarin Oriental is to open its first ever property in Vietnam, it has been confirmed.

Situated in Union Square in the southern city of Saigon, Mandarin Oriental Saigon will form part of a commercial building in the heart of the city.

It will be located on the upper floors of the building and will feature 227 guestrooms and suites, six restaurants and bars, banqueting spaces, a fitness centre, an outdoor swimming pool and the signature Mandarin Oriental Spa.

“Ho Chi Minh City is the leading commercial hub in Vietnam and at the heart of the country’s rapidly growing economy,” says James Riley, Group Chief Executive of Mandarin Oriental.

“We are delighted to be opening a hotel in such a prime location in the city. We look forward to working with our partners to create a world-class experience and to bringing Mandarin Oriental’s renowned level of service excellence to Vietnam for the first time.”

The hotel will be close to several key Saigon attractions and landmarks, including the Saigon Opera House and the People’s Committee Building.
