Billed as combining Marriott’s renowned service with a more design-oriented focus, Moxy is expected to compete with established brands including Hyatt’s Andaz and Melia’s ME Melia Hotels for a younger, stylish clientele.
Moxy Hotels will house an array of amenities increasingly considered essential to the contemporary traveller, including free high-speed internet, communal spaces and remote check-in.
Other notable features will include bright, open public spaces, floor-to-ceiling art walls, and on-site ‘markets’ selling snacks and drinks.
Guestrooms will include upscale bath amenities, 42″ flat screen TVs, high thread count bedding, and USB ports located in each wall socket.
Following the Milan opening, Moxy hotels are also due to arrive in a host of cities across Europe including Berlin, Frankfurt, London, Edinburgh, Brussels, Amsterdam, Oslo, Malmo, Hamburg, Munich, Liverpool and Dublin.
