Maserati Quattroporte to Debut at Detroit Auto Show

The Maserati Quattroporte, the new flagship sedan from the Italian luxury automaker, is set to debut at the Detroit Auto Show in January.

Maserati hope that the launch of the new model will act as a catalyst for the brand’s global sales over the next couple of years.

Boasting a Ferrari-sourced V8 engine, the Quattroporte reinterprets the design features of classic Maseratis with a contemporary twist. However, Maserati is keeping most of the car’s specific details secret, leaving plenty of guesswork ahead of its January debut.

Speaking about the new model, Lorenzo Ramaciotti, Head of Maserati Design Centre, said: “The new Maserati Quattroporte is a high-performance sports luxury saloon that reinterprets the design features of classic Maseratis in a contemporary design language.

“Its style was borne out of the guiding design principles of Maserati: harmony of shapes, dynamism of lines and Italian elegance.

“More generous in size when compared to the previous model, the new Quattroporte has a design that is at once graceful and sinuous, fashioned to bring out the sporty nature of the car.”

The Detroit Auto Show will take place at the Cobo Center in downtown Detroit from 14 – 27 January.
