Mercedes-AMG, the German luxury car brand’s high performance division, is half-a-century old this year, and the carmaker is honouring the occasion with three special edition models.

Set to be launched at the Geneva Motor Show in a few weeks time, the trio of anniversary editions will be headlined by the AMG GT C Roadster Edition 50. Joining it will be the C63 Cabriolet and C63 S Cabriolet Ocean Blue Edition and the C43 4Matic Coupe and C43 4Matic Cabriolet Night Edition.

Limited to just 500 units, the AMG GT C Roadster Edition 50s will feature the same performance spec as the standard version of the car, with a 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 making 550 horsepower and 502 lb-ft of torque.

However, it will also include a number of special features including a striking paint finish in designo Graphite Grey Magno on the outside, while on the inside, the AMG Interior Night Package comes standard along with contrasting black and silver theme and special ‘Edition 50’ badging.

As for the C63 Cabriolet and C63 S Ocean Blue Edition, the models are limited to only 150 units worldwide and will feature a blue fabric roof, plus blue elements in the front bumper, rear diffuser, and wheel caps. It will be available in Designo Cashmere White Magno and Designo Selenite Grey Magno.

Finally, the C43 4Matic Coupe and C43 4Matic Cabriolet Night Editions will receive diamond-themed front grille, matte black 19-inch alloy wheels, black trim on the front splitter, side skirts and rear apron as well as a small trunk lid lip spoiler.

All three editions are expected to be on display at the Geneva Motor Show from 9 – 19 March. Pricing is yet to be confirmed.
