Mercedes-Maybach G650 Landaulet to Launch at Geneva Motor Show

They may lack the sleek sexiness of the more slim-line Mercedes, but the German car brand’s G class vehicles still rightfully fall under the ‘luxury’ banner.

Next month the famous carmaker will unveil its G650 Landaulet at the Geneva Motoe Show and a quick glance at the pre-launch photos indicate it certainly deserves a luxury billing.

Billed as combining the off-road capabilities of G class vehicles with the appearance of a semi-convertible SUV, the four-seat car promises to grab plenty of attention when it is displayed at the Geneva show.

More than anything, it is the interior features that make this such a lavish new addition to the Mercedes portfolio. While the driver’s seat and the front passenger seat are covered by the closed roof, the passengers in the back seats can enjoy the sunshine thanks to a large folding top which can be opened or closed with the press of a button.

Furthermore, if its privacy you want then the car also offers an optional glass partition between the front and rear seats, with the glass able to morph from transparent to opaque with the push of a button.

The rear seats, meanwhile, are equipped with massage functions and can be fully reclined, while rear passengers can enjoy entertainment via the two 10-inch high-resolution media displays embedded in the glass partition.

Other notable interior details include diamond stitching, while on the outside 22-inch 5‑twin-spoke light-alloy are a lavish touch. Buyers can choose from three different matching colours for the fabric top as well as four designo paint finishes, including a matt finish.

Pricing for the Mercedes-Maybach G650 Landaulet has not yet been revealed.
