German luxury car makers Mercedes have opened a new store in Milan, Italy featuring a range of the brand’s merchandise, as well as some of its cars.

Located in the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, the store is the second of its type in the world opened by Mercedes, after its inaugural one in Hamburg, Germany.

Billed as a meeting point for the public to interact with the Mercedes brand, the retail space allows visitors to access a digital platform showcasing a range of Mercedes services.

Among them are “Mercedes connect me”, which allows customers to stay remotely connected to their vehicle so that they can find out information such as where it is parked, whether the doors are locked and how much fuel remains in the tank.

Founded by Karl Benz and Gottlieb Daimler in 1926, Mercedes-Benz is part of the "German Big 3" luxury automakers, along with Audi and BMW, which are the best-selling luxury automakers in the world.
