Miami Beach Gears Up for 2016 Longines Global Champions Tour

Miami Beach will once more be the launch destination for the Longines Global Champions Tour, the world’s foremost show jumping series, which kicks off next week.

The event returns to the US bringing Olympic-level sport to the world-famous Miami Beach location on the East Coast.

Free to the public, seats in the grandstand are available on a first come first served basis, while a shopping village, entertainment and refreshments all add to the occasion.

The event marks the start of the 2016 Longines Global Champions Tour season which sees the world’s best horses and riders vying to claim the coveted Champion of Champions title.

In this Olympic year, fans will be treated to an exhilarating high octane championship series spanning across the globe, featuring top class action and entertainment.

Following LGCT Miami Beach, the Tour will head south to Campo Marte, a venue that has been specifically chosen to help attract new audiences to the sport.

Founded in 2006 by the Olympic gold medalist Jan Tops, the Longines Global Champions Tour brings together the top 30 riders in the FEI Longines World Rankings, who compete in a series of shows that aim to provide 'the best in show jumping

It comprises 14 rounds of competition hosted by unique, exclusive venues and capital cities around the world.

Swiss luxury watch brand Longines is the Title Sponsor and Official Timekeeper of the event.
