Miami Luxury Development to Feature Flying-Car Docks

An American real estate developer in charge of a new luxury residential property in Miami is planning for to be kitted out with revolutionary flying-car docks.

Also dubbed sky garages, or sky ports, the plans are for the docks to feature on the penthouse level of Paramount Miami Worldcente, a 60-story tower in the heart of Miami.

The 27-acre mixed-use super project is the brainchild of veteran developer Dan Kodsi, who believes that the era of the flying car will soon be upon us.

Residents who own flying cars in the future would be able to land on top of the building in vertical takeoff and landing vehicles.

Mr Kodsi believes the trend for flying cars will be driven by companies such as Uber and Airbus and wants his residential project to be ready for it.

“These flying-car projects are the real deal,” he said. “They are funded. NASA is involved. It’s not just science fiction anymore. Being a developer you want to see where the trends are heading and stay ahead of them,”

Mr Kods said that he expects flying cars to take to the Miami skies and elsewhere in the next 10 to 15 years.

The project is being co-developed with fellow developers Art Falcone and Nitin Motwani. The project has 500-plus units ranging from $700,000 to $11 million and is expected to be completed in 2019.
